New/Old Friends Visiting

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to have guests in the Seattle area: our friends Rich and Stephanie Martin, with their baby Hayden, and Stephanie's parents. Rich is one of Kevin's oldest buddies from high school.

After some initial "parking issues", we all met at the Cheesecake factory downtown for a nice brunch/lunch. It was, of course, very delicious! At first, Gabriella was asleep (she usually sleeps when strolling or riding in the car), but eventually she woke up to meet her new friend Hayden.

We talked for a while, got some nice parenting tips from Rich, Stephanie, Grandma, and Grandpa (Hayden is almost 11 months old), then stepped outside into the hot sun for some photos. Rich and the gang then headed off to Port Angeles, a town west of Seattle, where they spent the rest of the week at Stephanie's sister's new house.

Thanks for the great lunch and baby gifts, Martins and Breechers! Next time you come to Seattle, we hope we have more time to catch up, although both of the girls will be running around by then!!

Wake up, Gabriella: Here's Hayden!

Passport

Gabriella is proud to receive her first passport. Dad, Mom, and Gabriella are planning to fly to Canada in the fall to visit Aunt Marta, Uncle Charlie, and Cousin Aniela. She is excited and cannot wait to fly with Dad and Mom to Canada.

Doctor Reunion

Daddy, Mommy, and Gabriella went to Mommy's postpartum appointment to meet with Dr. Foltz. It has been a while that we haven't seen Dr. Foltz. Things went great with Mom's appointment, and now she is able get back to her normal life. After the appointment, we all were going to miss Dr. Foltz since we will not see her for about a year until Mom's routine appointment. :-( However, we took pictures of Dr. Foltz with all of us together and her with Gabriella.

Bonding Time

Recently, Dad and Gabby were having bonding time together. Dad was rocking Gabby for bedtime. Look how cute Dad and Gabby were while Gabby was sleeping! Gabby slept like an angel!

Chicago Cubs or White Sox

Dad and Mom are competing each other about baseball...Chicago Cubs and White Sox, who are playing each other again. Dad roots for the Cubs, and Mom roots for White Sox. Mommy is disappointed that White Sox lost the first three to the Cubs. Dad was jumping around happily and put the blanket of Chicago Cubs on Gabriella while Mom rocked Gabby for bedtime. This is the blanket that the CA Morge Family gave Gabriella, with one side of Chicago Cubs and other side of White Sox.

Dad and Mom are waiting for which Gabriella will say first: Cubs or Sox. Gabriella probably will not start talking for awhile but she talks blah blah a lot lately. We can't wait whenever Gabriella is ready to talk. Of course, Dad and Mom will keep rooting for their favorite team until she Gabby says one! Heeheee

Tummy Time !!

This is Gabriella: We are doing good! My Mommy and Daddy love me and Mommy feeds me, and change my dirty diapers. BUT, every once in a while, they put me down on the floor or the bed on my front side, then leave me there for like, forever! They try to be cute by calling it "Tummy Time", but it is really torture!

Today, I got some evidence: check out this video:

Gabriella One Month Old

First, we want to say a big thank you to Grandma TRIIISH (aka Grandma Pat Morge) for spending a wonderful 2 weeks with the 3 of us. Thanks for all of your help, and we look forward to seeing you, and meeting Grandpa Morge and the rest of the family and the Dynda family, in August at the Baptism.

Gabriella is now 1 month old! (Yes, time has gone by quite fast. :) )

She weighed in at 8 pounds and 10 ounces at her 1-month check-up at the Pediatricians, which is a healthy gain of 12 ounces in the last 2 and a half weeks.

Now, her newest trick is rolling over: she is almost there! In the last 2 weeks, she has started to turn her shoulder, but can't quite make the flip over.

Here are some recent pictures of the 1-month-old...

"1 month with these Morges really wears you out!!"
