Twins' 1 month old

On Sunday, April 11, 2010, J.T. & Celina turned one month old. At their 1 month old birthday, J.T. and Celina slept very well. Celina ate like a pig and finished quickly. J.T. ate very slowly: it took forever for him to finish!

Easter 2010

On April 2, 2010, my parents came to visit us for Easter Weekend to spend time with us, especially the Twins.

The next day, Kevin's mother and Grandma Ruth came to visit us for the day to celebrate early Easter. Also, it was Grandma Ruth's first time meeting her great-grandson J.T. since he came home from the NICU.

The next day on Easter Day, it was the Twins' first Easter to be with family and grandparents. I took a lot of pictures for everybody to be with the Twins. Also, Gabriella loved to seek the eggs that her daddy hid eggs outside around the house. Gabriella did a great job finding all the eggs.

Sister/Brother Bond

On March 30th, Gabriella had been holding Celina a lot lately while J.T. was at the NICU. Now, J.T. was home so Gabriella wanted to hold J.T. It was Gabriella's now #2 to hold J.T. Gabby loves and enjoys holding her twin sibling as much as she wants.

The next day, J.T. was sleeping peacefully. Kevin and I love to see him sleeping like this as well as Celina too. Both J.T. and Celina were so tiny and so adorable. Also, it was lovely to see J.T. and Celina sleeping together. We will miss seeing them when they grow older.

Dynda Family Visiting

On March 28th 2010, my sister, Danuta, and her family came to visit us from Springfield/Peoria and stayed with us for a few days. It was a perfect time for them to come after J.T. was home from the NICU. For the first time, they met the Twins. Gabriella enjoyed playing with her cousins. Also, Danuta was a wonderful chef, cooking and feeding us while we were busy with the Twins. It was wonderful seeing them!

Jozef Discharged

A few days before Friday, March 26th, we were at the NICU to see Jozef (J.T.) and spend time with him like we had done daily. The NICU doctor came and talked to us about J.T.'s situation. Jozef still failed his oxgyen test for the infant carseat. However, the doctor discussed with us that they had stopped testing him for oxgyen and stopped giving him special medicine for his reflux. He wanted to study Jozef for sleeping test on his two weeks old birthday (as 38 weeks like he was inside me). The sleep study took 12 hours so they were going to study him to see if he had apnea or reflux. We agreed and knew that it would help to see what was wrong with J.T. They started the test on Thursday, 25th at 6 am.

On the morning of Friday the 26th, we went to the NICU to see how J.T. was doing. We were hoping to receive result from his sleep study. We heard nothing yet but the nurse said that doctor will let us know the result as soon as possible. After we stayed with J.T. for a few hours, we headed home. Out of the blue, the NICU doctor called us in the late afternoon and said that there was nothing wrong with J.T. That was beyond GREAT NEWS to hear!! Also, doctor said that J.T. was ready to go home. We were thrilled and went to the NICU quickly. We were so happy and couldn't wait for him to come home to reunite with his twin sister and be family again!

Twins Reunion!

Relaxing Day..

On 3-25-2010, Before I went to the NICU to feed Jozef and spend time with him for a few hours, I fed Celina. Gabriella loved to hold Celina and signed that Celina was her #1 to hold. She was waiting for Jozef to come home whenenever he was ready to be discharged from the NICU. In the meantime, I was in the NICU with Jozef while Kevin was at home taking care of Gabriella and Celina. Celina wore her dad and Gabriella out. Gabriella and her father took a nap together on the couch. How cute to see them!

Relatives Visiting...

On 3-20-10 in the morning, my whole family espcially Gabriella and I went to the NICU to see Jozef. The NICU let us bring Gabriella to meet her little brother for the first time. It was a roller coaster of emotions having the whole family being there with Jozef. Celina was there with us too to see her twin brother. For some reason, Gabriella wasn't in a good mood that morning.

In the afternoon, after Gabriella woke up from her nap, she was in a good mood and wanted to hold her little sister Celina. Also, my Aunt Danuta and Uncle Jim from Chicago came to meet Celina for the first time.

The next morning, we family went to the NICU to see Jozef again. Gabriella was in a good mood this time and approached Jozef and gave him a sweet kiss on his head. Later in the afternoon, Aunt Kathy and (Great-) Grandma Ruth came to meet Celina for the first time.

On Thursday, March 18th, I went to see Jozef at the NICU in the morning to breastfeed him. In the afternoon, Kevin and his mother went to see him. Grandma Trish fed Jozef with a bottle of my milk. Jozef improved his eating through breastfeeding and bottle milk and starting gaining a little weight daily. Grandma Trish wanted to see him and feed him before she left back to Peoria.

Sisters Bond

On Wednesday, March 17th, it was night, and I changed Gabriella into her pajamas. Before Gabriella went to bed, she wanted to hold Celina. Before she let me take back Celina, she gave her a good night kiss. Awww...how sweet Gabriella was!
