Rolling Over

Finally, Mommy had a chance to videotape Gabriella rolling over, which she has been doing since June 20th. Here is the video below....

Once Gabriella rolled over to her back from front, she wanted to roll back from back to front. She was SO CLOSE to roll from back to front! Mommy didn't videotape that time because didn't think Gabriella would do that at this time. Mommy will videotape when Gabriella finally rolls over from back to front.

2 Months Old

Daddy and Mommy cannot beleive that Gabriella is already two months old! She's grown up so much already. Gabriella did roll over from tummy to back a several time in the last few weeks. Also, she continues to "talk", smile, and laugh. In the last week or two, Gabriella started to stand like stretching out with daddy/mommy holding on lap. Unbelieveable that she is able to stand! Wonder what will happen next. Since her birth, she usually slept on the back flat, but she started to turn on the side to sleep on her own since a few weeks ago, and likes it.

Last Friday, Daddy and Mommy took Gabriella to her pediatric appointment for her two-month check up. Gabriella was not very happy on that day, and she cried and cried the whole time in office for no reason. Dr. Sheridan was very pleased with Gabriella's progress. Gabriella is now 10 lbs. 13 oz. and 23 inches long. She had been gained a lot since a month ago. She had to take her shots, and of course she continued to cry. After her shots, she slept quickly. Later the day, she was in a good mood again.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July to you all, families and friends! Hope you all had a great 4th of July yesterday. Mommy and Gabriella were excited that Daddy had a day off on the 4th of July so he would be with us to celebrate. On that day, we all had no plans but had errands to do. Also, we were relaxing and chilling at home.

Relaxing at home, Daddy and Gabriella were talking to each other. For you all who are Mommy's hearing impaired friends that cannot hear or understand what they said, we are showing below what they said to each other:

Gabriella: Ha ha... uhhh

Kevin: Yeah, are you talking?! Hi, everybody! This is Gabriella talking!!

Gabriella: Ohhhh, Oooh

Kevin: Yea, "goo goo". I said "Hi, Happy 4th of July!"

Gabriella: Uhhh! Cooo! (gurgle)

Kevin: Hi Grandma Ana, and Grandma Trish...

Gabriella: (sounds like Yeah!!)

Kevin: Yea, and soon you will see your Grandpas, too, and all of your Uncles and Aunts and Cousins from Illinois... Bye (as she lifts her right hand) Bye for now! We love you!

Gabriella: (sounds like Bye!)

Kevin: Bye, yea, Good Girl! (Gabriella moving here right hand): Use your signs!

Gabriella: Coo, as see lifts both hands

Kevin: Bye, Bye!

After a long day, Daddy and Gabriella took a nap time while Mommy cleaned and organized things around the apartment. While they were sleeping, Mommy sneaked in the bedroom to take pictures of them. Hehee

Refreshed, we all went up to the roof to see the fireworks after dark. Unfortunately, the view of the fireworks was blocked by several buildings, and although we could see some, the pictures did not turn out well. :(

But, we did get some photos of us:

Gabriella & Mommy: Where are these fireworks, anyway?!

New/Old Friends Visiting

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to have guests in the Seattle area: our friends Rich and Stephanie Martin, with their baby Hayden, and Stephanie's parents. Rich is one of Kevin's oldest buddies from high school.

After some initial "parking issues", we all met at the Cheesecake factory downtown for a nice brunch/lunch. It was, of course, very delicious! At first, Gabriella was asleep (she usually sleeps when strolling or riding in the car), but eventually she woke up to meet her new friend Hayden.

We talked for a while, got some nice parenting tips from Rich, Stephanie, Grandma, and Grandpa (Hayden is almost 11 months old), then stepped outside into the hot sun for some photos. Rich and the gang then headed off to Port Angeles, a town west of Seattle, where they spent the rest of the week at Stephanie's sister's new house.

Thanks for the great lunch and baby gifts, Martins and Breechers! Next time you come to Seattle, we hope we have more time to catch up, although both of the girls will be running around by then!!

Wake up, Gabriella: Here's Hayden!

Passport

Gabriella is proud to receive her first passport. Dad, Mom, and Gabriella are planning to fly to Canada in the fall to visit Aunt Marta, Uncle Charlie, and Cousin Aniela. She is excited and cannot wait to fly with Dad and Mom to Canada.

Doctor Reunion

Daddy, Mommy, and Gabriella went to Mommy's postpartum appointment to meet with Dr. Foltz. It has been a while that we haven't seen Dr. Foltz. Things went great with Mom's appointment, and now she is able get back to her normal life. After the appointment, we all were going to miss Dr. Foltz since we will not see her for about a year until Mom's routine appointment. :-( However, we took pictures of Dr. Foltz with all of us together and her with Gabriella.

Bonding Time

Recently, Dad and Gabby were having bonding time together. Dad was rocking Gabby for bedtime. Look how cute Dad and Gabby were while Gabby was sleeping! Gabby slept like an angel!
