Beautiful Day....

On the first week of May, it was so beautiful and cool outside in Peoria, Illinois. Dzia Dzia and Babcia took Gabriella out for a walk with Ampara (dog). Gabriella enjoyed riding the wagon instead of using stroller.

The other day, it was also a beautiful day. Gabriella was sitting on chair right next to her cousin Tomasz on the deck of grandparents' house. They enjoyed sitting in these small chairs with rainbow umbrella above them.

Meghan's Baby Shower

On Sunday, April 3rd, Gabriella and I were invited for my sister-in-law Meghan's baby shower. The night before, Kevin, Gabriella, and I flew in Chicago from CA. We had a good time at the baby shower and stayed for a short time. We drove back home to Peoria during Gabby's nap in the afternoon. We all were so exhausted and had a long week. Meghan, thanks for the invitation!

San Diego, CA

On Thursday, April 23, Gabriella and I flew to San Diego, CA for a week to visit Daddy (Kevin) where he worked on his project. Upon our arrival, we were excited to see Daddy and how much we missed him. After arriving at the hotel, I unpacked and organized our room with Dad. The next few days, Gabriella was sick with cold and little fever on and off. Poor our baby!! One morning, Gabby had a terrible cough and had difficulty breathing, so we took her to the emergency room. She had congestion, cough, and cold. A nurse came to clean out her nose due to the congestion and gave her a steroid liquid to release her throat to breath through. She got better the next two days. Whew.... During her sickness, she manged to have fun with us. What a strong girl!

During the weekend, Dan (Kevin's brother) and his family drove all the way down to meet us at the San Diego Zoo from north of L.A. We were thrilled to meet them and hadn't seen them for a long time, since Christmas 2008. It was our first time in San Diego Zoo. Unbelievable!! WHAT A HUGE ZOO!! We walked all over and loved to see these animals! We all had a fantastic time!

The next day, we went out for swimming in the hotel pool to relax and chill out before Dan and his family went back home. It was wonderful seeing them again, and we're looking forward to seeing them again someday soon.

Before we all left back home in Illinois, we went out for shopping, walking, swimming, out to eat, etc. We had a good time in San Diego, CA.

Charles's Baptism

On Sunday, April 19th, it was my nephew Charles Watts's Baptism. The baptism took place at St. Jude's Church. We were blessed to have the whole Watts Family in to Peoria from Canada for Charles's Baptism. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great Grandaunt, and Great Granduncle attended the baptism to bless Charles. Charles was so good baby. Charles's godparents are Michal Dynda and Susanna Riley.

After the baptism, we had party to celebrate Charles at the Dynda's house. We all had a great time, and the foods were delicious. We missed them dearly after they had to flew back home in Canada; Gabriella and I flew to San Diego, CA.

Enjoy looking at the video of Charles's Baptism:

Chill'....

On these few days of April, my family and I had nothing much to do and were just chilling out around at home. My sister, Marta, and her family were in town from Canada for a few weeks. Grandparents, parents, and kids were playing and spending time together to catch up.

New House

While we temporarily lived with my parents', we were looking for houses in the suburbs of Chicago close to O'Hare Airport. After our house hunting, we finally found a house in Bolingbrook that we liked the best, a great deal plus excellent space! We and six other couples were interested in this house. The agent was interested in us and another couple so we counter offered. We won and bought this house! Whew...what a relief. We closed on the house on May 20th.

After closing, it required a lot of remodeling work, such as repainting, floors, tiles, etc. My dad and I were working our asses off with our house for almost two weeks while Kevin was in CA working. We were so exhausted and sore! Thanks so much to my Dad for all of his excellent work: I don't know what we would have done without him! We are so lucky to have Dad in our life. Thank you and I love you, DAD!! Also, Thanks to you, UNCLE TIM AND HIS FAMILY, for watching Gabriella while I worked with Dad around the house!! I was so happy that we live close to them and were looking forward to spend time with them and other families.

By the way, there are several projects that Kevin and I want for our house, but we will work on them later. I will explain to you about them soon in the blog with "After Remodel". For now, here is the video of our house (before remodel).

Gabriella's First Easter 2009

On April 12, 2009 (Easter Day), it was Gabriella's first Easter. We were spending the Easter Day with the Dynda, Watts, and Morge Families. We had delicious foods to eat, opened wonderful gifts for Gabriella, and hunted the eggs.

Daddy and I helped Gabriella find the eggs. Of course, she didn't understand what was going on. Otherwise, she seemed to enjoy picking up the eggs and putting them in the basket. Sometimes, she played and tried to open the eggs. It was so adorable watching her on her first Easter Day!
